This year, the glamourous Goodwood Revival Show is being held from 8th – 10th September at the Goodwood Motor Circuit in Chichester.
Upon arrival, it’s like stepping back in time as the whole event is a fantastic celebration of the 1940s, 1950s and 1960s. As the world’s only, and most celebrated, historic race meeting that is staged entirely in dress from these periods, you can expect a unique experience. If you love vintage style, classic cars, motorsport and live entertainment from a bygone era, this is the best show for you!
Some of the biggest names in the industry will be around during the weekend including F1 and Touring Car legends. Aside from the action on the historic track, which is what most visitors come to see, there is so much more to keep you entertained. For example, you can take a walk around the thousands of beautiful classic cars on display, go on a trip down Memory Lane, also known as Revival High Street, and explore March Motor Works’ recreated car workshops of old.
Goodwood Revival Show line up
The classic circuit hosts 14 races over the course of three days, the first being a thrilling one hour race into the darkness late Friday night. This race follows a full day of practice for all riders and drivers in attendance.
Saturday is Ladies’ Day so expect an impressive array of outfits. Meanwhile on the track, everyone battles for the Barry Sheene Memorial Trophy and St Mary’s Trophy throughout the day. In the afternoon, the lucky invited few enjoy time at the annual Bonhams auction.
The main Royal Automobile Club TT Celebration race is on Sunday, bringing together some of the best racing cars from around the world – this part of the event is a fan favourite – then the show wraps up with a grand prize giving ceremony.
