Jaguar has showcased some of its latest concept designs as part of Milan’s Salone del Mobile. The premium Wallpaper Handmade exhibition has made its UK debut and has branched-out from its iconic Milan base to bring London its unique style and artwork. The high-end magazine presented its display at the capital’s prestigious Harrods department store and Jaguar also got involved by unveiling three concept cars to mark the landmark event.
It has worked with the British high-end manufacturing brand to produce an incredible ‘best of presentation’ as well as five other unique pieces. The team at Jaguar Advanced Design presented the highly-anticipated C-X17 concept vehicle for the first time in the UK, outside the premium Knightsbridge store. However, the stunning C-X17 was not alone as fans were treated to two other design concepts from the manufacturer; the C-X75 hybrid hypercar and the Jaguar heritage-inspired Project 7 sports car.
The Jaguar C-X17
At the top of the guest list was the Jaguar C-X17 as it made its debut on home soil. The attractive model was first seen at the global launch last month (September) but this was the first time that British Jaguar fans were able to see the C-X17 in all its glory. The concept is a landmark model for the company as it is the first-ever sports crossover concept.
The Jaguar C-X17 was designed to embrace the brand’s state-of-the-art, all-aluminium modular vehicle architecture, which is set to revolutionise the field. It effortlessly combines the unmistakable sporting character with enhanced flexibility, while keeping in touch with Jaguar’s design and mantra.
The Jaguar C-X75
The Jaguar C-X75 is a glimpse of what goes on inside the minds of the team at the company. This model is a sneak-peak at the future, according to the British designers – and it looks really good.
Packing more than 850 horsepower, the performance of the model is only matched by its environmental credentials. This car is the epitome of being both naughty and nice, as it will run emissions-free for up to 20 miles thanks to its twin electric motors in the hybrid powertrain.
Far from the ugly, eco-friendly member of the pack, the C-X75 is a stunning car with its incredibly ostentatious but attractive Jaguar design. The model ticks all the boxes and is justifiably turning heads among its rivals and for those who sit behind the wheel.
The Jaguar Project 7
The ultimate in Jaguar design, Project 7 is an exclusive one-off for the British manufacturers. It made its highly-anticipated debut at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed and reflects the core DNA of the minds behind the Jaguar sports car design. Born from the sketch of a small team of ambitious designers, the brains have then moulded and fine-tuned the concept to reveal a customised F-TYPE sports car, which evokes the spirit and design language of the iconic Jaguar of the 1950s.
The three models will be joined by five other concept products which explore the heart and soul of the Jaguar brand.
Julian Thomson, Jaguar Advanced Design director said: “We have seen our concept cars excite audiences worldwide this year.
He said he was “delighted that the UK debut of C-X17 is part of this event” and that the firm are able to “show another surprising and inspiring side of the modern Jaguar brand” to people in the UK.
