In 2011 Lamborghini launched the mid-engined V12 Aventador at the Geneva Motor Show. While trying to improve on such a super car may seem a daunting task to many, Novitec have given it a go.
The Novitec Torado SV has to improve on power to be taken seriously of course, and this it does by upping the bhp from the current 740bhp to 775bhp, with torque upped to 544lb ft – all helped by the addition of the free-breathing Novitec high performance exhaust available in stainless steel or the more exotic (21kg shaving) Inconel – an alloy resistant to high temperature corrosion.
The already impressive numbers are bound to become even more impressive, although Novitec are – as yet – not putting pen to any claims that improve on Lamborghini’s fine figures. Currently, the standard Aventador SV will get you from 0-62mph in a frightening 2.8 seconds.
Every self respecting customiser knows that the wheels are one of the most important finishing touches to your car – and the wheel options offered by Novitec are quite mind boggling with a choice of 72 different colours. Front wheels are 20-inch NV1 Vossen alloys, while the rear wheels are 21-inch. Combined with an already low ride height lowered further by 35mm, the side profile looks even more aggressive and impressive. To avoid obstacles – like any gradient at all perhaps – the car is equipped with a front-lift system to give a little more clearance.
The Torado carbon fibre aerodynamic bodykit consists of side skirts plus boot lid, roof fitted air scoops and a rear wing, which all told, makes the Torado SV a very striking looking Lamborghini – with a performance to match no doubt.
There is currently no pricing information for this attractive upgrade, but with a standard Lamborghini Aventador coming in at around £321,000, if you’re in the market for the Novitec Torado SV, then the price is probably not going to be of major concern.
