Which Superhero Has The Coolest Car?

Which caped (or non-caped) hero has the nicest set of wheels?

We all love a good superhero film. At least, that’s what the box office statistics tell me. And, chances are, if you are here reading this, you’re interested in cars too so why not answer the all-important question of ‘which superhero has the coolest car?’.

Let’s go over some contenders, in no particular order, then consider a ‘winner’ at the end:

Batman (Bruce Wayne)

In The Batman, starring Robert Pattinson, the world’s greatest detective gets a a new set of wheels. The Batmobile’s new silhouette is more reminiscent of a muscle car than of a military tank, as it was in the Dark Knight trilogy starring Christian Bale. Featuring the iconic jet engine thruster on the rear, as always, this rendition of the famous car has gone back to its roots of being an actual car, rather than some sort of battle tank as it was also portrayed as in Ben Affleck’s Batmans films.

Iron Man (Tony Stark)

Iron Man is yet another superhero known for their flashiness. Although when in the suit, unlike Batman, Iron Man has no need for a car but when parading around as Tony Stark, a great range of cars enters the mix.

In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, we first see Tony in the still-gorgeous Mk. I Audi R8 and R8 Spyder and also get a look at a 1932 Ford Model B -Flathead Roadster with a fantastic hot rod paint job! In other Marvel films, the character is also seen in a Honda NSX Roadster concept, Audi e-tron GT and even in 1978 Wolf WR1 Ford Formula Car at the Monaco race in Iron Man 2!

Dr Strange

Before Steven Strange’s crash that leads to the beginning of his character’s superhero development, the esteemed and egotistical Doctor is seen driving a metallic grey Lamborghini Huracan. A beautiful car that highlights the characters attraction to great luxury and a lifestyle of excess, before he becomes the humble and meditative hero he is generally known as.

Black Widow (Natasha Romanoff)

It is only fitting that the former Russian spy Natasha Romanoff’s car of choice is a Chevrolet Corvette Stingray C7, truly highlighting her transition to a full time America-loving  S.H.I.E.L.D agent. And what colour would the then-new C7 be painted in? Black, of course.

So, with all these fantastic cars to choose from, which superhero has the coolest one? For me, I would have to decidedly say that Bruce Wayne’s Mercedes-Benz Vision Gran Turismo is by far the coolest. It’s a concept car that ordinary billionaires can’t get their hands on, making Bruce’s ownership of it even cooler! Although the film may not have been all that good, at least the car brought some sort of saving grace to what is otherwise a forgettable experience.
