If you take a look at the KUHL Racing website, you will be bombarded with shiny, luxury custom creations and low riders that leave you feeling like a kid in a car sweet shop.
Recently though, KUHL Racing debuted a rather beautiful custom Nissan GT-R, which has been given the rather ostentatious moniker of “the engraved gold metal paint Godzilla” – to merely say this supercar is eye-catching is doing it a mighty big disservice.
The Japanese custom and after-market company has excelled itself with this creation. KUHL firstly took a standard Nissan GT-R and created a fibreglass bodykit. The bodykit was then hand engraved in painstakingly intricate detail, before being given a chrome finish and then finally being painted gold. The impressive “3D Ultimate Engraving Metal paint” paintjob was carried out by Artis.
KUHL didn’t stop there though, if you can see past the dazzling exterior (and that might be hard to do), then you will be rewarded with a tuned V6 twin-turbo, 3.8 litre engine which, KUHL say, gives out a whopping 820 in horsepower!
It’s not the first time KUHL Racing have come up with something like this, having shown a silver custom engraved Nissan R35 GT-R at the 2015 Tokyo International Custom Car Contest. The 2015 car featured alloys from Work Wheels, while Love Lark supplied the wide body Aero Monster kit and Blitz contributed with some performance tweaks – fine work all round.
The 2016 Tokyo Auto Salon was the lucky recipient of this gold custom GT-R’s debut show – and thanks to social media, the car has now gone viral. Hopefully, there will be many more opportunities to see the Artisizawa Project/KUHL Racing Nissan GT-R in the flesh in the forthcoming year.
