Fancy a carbon fibre gearknob? Or how about a short-shift gear-linkage for your manual Mustang that cuts gearshift travel by 20 per cent for a sharper, sportier feel?

These can reduce ride height by up to 40mm and come pre-assembled for optimised driving dynamics.

Premium light alloy wheels:

These are flow-formed rather than cast to deliver a reduction of up to 15 per cent in unsprung mass, and are specially designed to complement the Ford Performance adjustable coilover kits. These 10-spoke wheels are offered for Fiesta, Fiesta ST, Focus and Focus ST, in sizes from 17 to 19 inches depending on the model.

This may only be the first batch of Performance Parts, but Ford has already revealed it will flesh-out the range in 2018 to cover more Ford models and include new components.

Fabio Carafa, Ford of Europe’s vehicle personalisation director, believes the Performance Parts will result in even more satisfying driving experiences for Ford enthusiasts.

“Ford Performance customers are telling us they want to further personalise the driving dynamics, performance and style of their vehicles,” he commented. “We’ve specifically developed our Ford Performance Parts portfolio to meet that need.”
