BMW is celebrating 30 years of its superb M performance division with a special edition drop-top M4.
With production appropriately capped at 30 units, the M4 Convertible Edition 30 Jahre is based on the M4 Convertible with the M Competition Package and will go on sale this month with a price tag of £76,675 on-the-road.
The limited-run BMW uses a straight six-cylinder engine with M TwinPower Turbo technology, pumping out 443bhp and whipping the open-top four-seater from zero to 62mph in 4.3 seconds before topping out at 155mph.
But there are loads of tasty touches around the car that make it extra special, namely an M exhaust system, adaptive M suspension and a sports configuration of the stability control system DSC and the Active M differential.
Buyers can choose between two metallic paint colours for their special edition M4: frozen dark grey or macao blue, which pays tribute to the original open-top M3 from three decades ago.
Standard features you can expect from this spectacular M4 include M side gills, forged M light alloys boasting a star-spoke design and 20-inch wheels, as well as Merino full leather trim, contrast stitching on the headrests, and M floor mats with piping in the respective contrasting colour. The interior trim is finished in carbon fibre, which comes as standard for both edition model variants.
The logo ‘30 Jahre Edition’ is imprinted both on the doorsills and the headrests, while the wording ‘30 Jahre Edition’ is joined by its unique number on the passenger side dashboard.
As numbers are limited, if all this sounds hugely appealing, speak to your BMW dealer pronto.
