Performance Direct 2014 Sponsorship at Santa Pod Raceway

2014 Show Season has officially started and with the New Year comes new sponsorships, our friends over at Performance Direct are proud to announce that they have secured another supreme sponsorship deal with Santa Pod Raceway for the year.

The two organisations have built an extremely solid relationship in the last year and with a large line-up, 2014 is set to be a promising show year. A variety of different shows that will attract groups from every “scene” out there!

Event: Fast Show
Date: Sunday 23^rd March

This year, Fast Show has been scheduled a month later from last and the Santa Pod team are hoping by doing so the weather will hold out and be an exciting day for everyone. With the track dealing with most of the action for the day, as friends and foes go head-to-head racing down the straight, there will be attractions to engage the most avid of fans!

Event: Big Bang
Date: 11^th to 13^th April

This is the first VW event in the calendar and it is also one of the most laid-back, chilled-out atmospheres whilst still combining the octane fuelled fun that every petrol-head loves! With 5 different classes running on the Saturday, things will be heating up!

Event: Retro Show
Date: Sunday 22^nd June

All vehicles are welcome from pre-1980 with a large selection of cars, bikes and the occasional van sighting! For classic car & bike fans this is retro heaven, never will such a large variety of cars be seen in one place.

Event: BMW Scooter Ska Rally
Date: 13^th to 15^th June

This is a 3 Day show with 2 nights of live bands and DJ’s such as, King Sounds, Trust DC and Pier Pressure. Run What Ya Brung will take place all weekend and the Fire Force Team’s Jet Car will be firing down the strip. Club camping will also be available and will set a good atmosphere for the whole event.

Event: Japshow
Date: Sunday 6^th July

Japshow is JDM heaven as it brings together Japanese car and bike owners in one place and the atmosphere between owners is just amazing! It doesn’t matter if the person in the space next door has rat themed Micra or a power-driven Yamaha R1, every JDM owner is welcome, especially those who need to settle some differences, as the track is open all day for people with a range of different series going on.

Event: Bug Jam
Date: 18^th to 20^th July

With 4 music arenas and an all weekender of pure drag racing, why miss out on one of the largest VW festivals on the seasonal calendar? With auto-jumbles, traders, funfairs, show and shine area, Bug Jam is packed to the absolute limit with things to do and new people to meet.

Event: Ultimate Street Car (USC)
Date: 1^st to 3^rd August

The title says it all really, a weekend of music and petrol fused together to bring one of the best weekends to the summer months! Experiencing all 3 days will be something not to miss out on, simply park, pitch and party! With the likes of So Solid Crew hitting the stage this year, the night life is bound to be one for the books.

Event: FIA European Championship
Date: Friday 5^th September

Pure high-octane fuelled action with 200 teams competing across 17 different classes of cars and bikes. The sports F1 class even has 8,000 bhp dragsters which reach 100mph in less than a second – jaw breaking! Why hold back? Free access to the paddocks to see and smell the raw awesomeness of petrol and burnt rubber that fuel such brilliant machines.

Event: BMW Show
Date: Sunday 28^th September

7 Classes in the Run What Ya Brung series over the course of the weekend with BMW action all day long, with nothing else on the track. Don’t forget the spectacular show and shine where the best Bavarian wheels are put on show, with five trophies up for grabs! Fancy some drift action? Well good news! There will also be a dedicated section for rear wheel-drive skid action with the opportunity to jump in as a passenger.

Event: Japshow Finale
Date: Sunday 12^th October

Just because this is one of the closing shows, doesn’t mean it has to be boring, completely the contrary! Japshow Finale is where all the JDM ladies and gentlemen attend, in force, to show off their pride and joy before the Winter months draw another year to a close. Drifting, Khana, Showing and Shining, also the final chance for the “Best Club Stand” competition which will be announced by our friends and lane sponsors, Performance Direct!

Competition: Top Fuel Dragster Ride

Last year’s lucky winner was able to experience the insane acceleration of a Top Fuel Dragster, with the dragster reaching 160.76 mph! Sponsors, Performance Direct, are looking at running this competition again.
