Individuals interested in performance motorcycles may be pleased to learn the new Suzuki 2012 GSX-R1000 model has represented itself strongly in the opening races of this year's British Superbike Championship.
The first races of the new season took place over the Easter weekend at Brands Hatch, with the Tyco Suzuki team achieving pole position in the first outing for the GSX-R1000, as well as podium finishes for riders Josh Brookes and Alastair Seeley.
Suzuki GB's George Cheeseman commented: "Our 2012 GSX-R1000 has already received great praise in the press, so it's extremely encouraging to see it doing well on-track too."
He added that the manufacturer has focused on reducing weight and improving the streamlined design of the 2012 model, ensuring more fluid handling and greater enjoyment for riders.
Earlier this month, Ducati announced the launch of its new Ducati 1199 Panigale at dealerships across the UK.
The vehicle has been highlighted as a step forward in the development of superbikes, with an array of gadgets and innovations including a new race-derived Engine Brake Control system coming as standard for buyers.
