Goodwood’s 2022 event dates have been revealed
Bring on the fanfare! Goodwood’s 2022 event dates have been revealed so prepare your calendars for a fantastic year.
Unlike 2021 where the events had to be slightly more squeezed together than they would normally be, the 2022 calendar will be more spaced out, as they were pre-pandemic.
Goodwood is now open for track day events if you want to give your car a run out on a race track but remember to take adequate track day insurance policy to cover you in the event of any unexpected accident.
Not only will the order of the events and their respective dates be a return to what they once were but the capacity limitations will also be lifted, allowing for full crowds at the events. Certain aspects of the various events were also removed in 2021 in order to maximise the safety of all present and minimise the risk of infection spreading. These experiences will be making a return next year, along with some new celebrations, moments, car launches and interactive customer experiences.
See below the key dates for the future:
- 79th Members’ Meeting: 9th-10th April 2022
- Festival of Speed: 23rd-26th June 2022
- Revival: 16th-18th September 2022
- Tickets go live November 8 at 9 am 2021
- GRRC members get early access to tickets on November 1 2021
Starting with the Members’ Meeting, it has been revealed that all that is expected of this historic event will go ahead. This includes exceptional racing, thrilling demonstrations, off-track festivities and fireworks. Not to forget the school ‘house’ rivalry, too! This will take place on 9-10 April next year.
The biggest event of the year, the world-renowned Festival of Speed, has been marked to go ahead on the weekend of 23-26 June, with a full-sized crowd and no holding back on the festivities either. We can expect a range of fantastic sights including world-leading manufacturers launching their newest cars, plenty of unforgettable hill climbs and a diverse timetable of on-track races. Electric Avenue will also make a return after its successful debut this year, showcasing a wide range of innovations in the world of electric mobility/motoring.
For the classic vehicle enthusiasts, Goodwood Revival will also be returning in full-scale. On 16-18 September next year, Revival will make a return, bringing back the Make Do & Mend and Revival Car Boot Sale which were successful new components of this year’s Revival event.
Although we have been given plenty to go off already, Goodwood has said that we can expect further details in the months ahead on more specifics for each event.
