An Aston Martin DB5 was the star of the show at the recent Historics classic car auction, which took place at Brooklands.
The vehicle went under the hammer for a cool £336,000, helping to ensure the auction house continued its run of £1 million-plus sales – the fourth consecutive auction to do so.
Other vehicles that added significantly to this impressive total included a 1990 AC Cobra Mk IV that sold for £81,200, as well as a 1991 Bentley Continental convertible that eventually sold for £58,420.
Historics' auction director Edward Bridger-Stille commented regarding the success of the latest sale: "In an increasingly congested auction calendar, Historics is firmly established, and as ever a debt of gratitude goes to our customers who continue to share our belief."
Last month witnessed the announcement that motor enthusiast Stephen Johns is set to auction his 23-car collection of classic vehicles, including a 1927 Bugatti Type 40 Tourer and a 1972 Ferrari 246GTS 'Dino' Spider.
