Show report: RS Owners Club Central Show 2013, Santa Pod

One of the biggest, shiniest and fastest shows for all things Blue Oval built and RS powered rattled the scenery at Santa Pod yesterday, with plenty of big-bhp and big-dB drag strip action, miles of RS owners car club stands – featuring every era of gorgeous Ford metal – and a chrome-packed show ‘n’ shine all keeping a Sunday sun-treated Pod crowd nicely busy. I even got a tan!

A big thank you again goes out to our Performance Direct show car buddies – Danny and Robert – who graced our show stand with two Blue-Oval-belters in bright white; a MK2 Focus RS and a Series II Escort RS Turbo, both of them beautifully presented to the passing Ford fans. A cracking show this one with the very best from Ford’s UK-centric peoples’ performance cars and a fine example of the strength, quality and camaraderie that makes up the UK’s enthusiast car club scene.
