The company’s latest model delivers on a number of factors but breaks the mould when it comes to performance. It offers drivers the high-performance 12-cylinder from the premium German manufacturer, making it truly unique.
Mercedes-Benz has once again ticked all the boxes as it creates another vehicle that gives the driver a model that will turn heads, but doesn’t sacrifice power or performance.
With its twelve cylinders, twin-turbocharging, 630 hp of output and 1000 Newton-metres of torque, it has set the standard for its field. The new S 65 AMG has broken records for being the most powerful car in its sector and is ahead of the game when it comes to being kind to the environment.
Not only does the car look good, perform better than any other in its field, but Mercedes-Benz has managed to produce a car that is also eco-friendly. The reduced fuel consumption and compliance with the EU 6 exhaust emissions standard makes the AMG a car that will appeal to all kinds of drivers with a range of desires.
Mercedes-Benz chose a six-litre V12 biturbo engine for the AMG, which gives it 630 hp, allowing the car to outperform its peers. However, this superiority doesn’t end here as it can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.3 seconds and has a top speed of 155 mph (electronically limited). The AMG delivers in the performance stakes as the 12-cylinder biturbo engine gives it the ability to effortlessly accelerate no matter what speed it is at.
The AMG sports suspension comes as standard with road surface scan – the world’s first suspension that actually sees what you’re doing. The S 65 AMG gives the driver a premium level of design and equipment specification, with the head-up display and touchpad further demonstrating that comfort is a top priority for the company’s design team.
If you open the bonnet you will be able to see the exclusive carbon-fibre/aluminium engine cover, which also adds to the premium status of the AMG’s six-litre V12 biturbo engine.
Visually, Mercedes-Benz has given the AMG a truly distinctive look as it has a pair of logos on the left and right of a centrally-placed Mercedes star. Underneath the Mercedes badge is the engine technician’s signature, which provides undeniable proof that this vehicle is crafted from the high-end German team.
Attention to detail has been a top concern throughout the production of this model – and it shows.
The 12-cylinder engine has been assembled by hand by the team at Mercedes-Benz ensuring that it, like the rest of the car, meets with the latest standards and will deliver the very best in terms of performance, reliability and durability.
Everything about the AMG echoes the philosophy of “one man, one engine”, meaning that anyone who gets behind the wheel can control and craft its power to their needs.
Tobias Moers, chairman of the Board of Management of Mercedes-AMG GmbH, said: “Supreme exclusivity and incomparable dynamism provide the guarantee of a high fascination potential. With the third generation of the S 65 AMG, we offer our loyal and discerning V12 customers a unique high-performance automobile.”
In short: the S 65 AMG impresses on all levels with its superiority, especially as it meets the EU6 emissions standard, which is not due to come into force until 2015, keeping drivers ahead of the game and competition.
