Two lucky people could get the chance to experience driving on ice in the arctic circle in a Bentley.

Bentley Expirience 2014
The prestigious marque is offering two places to participants in its flagship and highly exclusive ice-driving experience in 2015, titled Power on Ice. Between December 1st 2014 and January 8th 2015, people hoping to win a place can enter by visiting the website www.care2save.co.uk/bentley/ and paying £1.

These spaces were donated as competition prizes to the international charity Care2 Save. There are no limit to the number of entries that people can put in but those who buy certain amounts could win other prizes, such as a tour of Bentley’s factory in Crewe.

Power on Ice takes place in the north of Finland, taking the idea of ice driving to the extreme with the most powerful line-up of Bentley cars yet.

The trip is four days long, between February 15th and 18th 2015, and winners will get to push these cars beyond what they would do in day to day driving. They will also get the first chance ever to drive the Continental GT3-R on ice.

Supporting them will be Bentley’s Ice Driving Team, who will offer expert in-car tuition. They will also be joined by four-time World Rally Champion Juha Kankkunen.

The event takes place near boutique hotel Chalet Ruka Peak. While visiting this place, competition winners could also try out other activities, such as snowmobile rides, ice-karting and Huskey-sled safari visits to reindeer farms at night. Each place usually costs €11,340 (£8,983).

Care2Save was set up by the fundraising team at St Luke’s Hospice in Cheshire, which is located close to the Bentley headquarters in Crewe.

Member of the board for human resources at Bentley Marlies Rogait said: “Bentley has been a long-term supporter of St Luke’s, valuing its contribution to the local community and the important role it plays in caring not only for Bentley employees and their families, but the wider community as well. We look forward to working with Care2Save more and supporting the invaluable work it does to help hospices around the world.”

There have been a number of ways in which Bentley has helped to build a strong relationship with the Hospice, helping with the work of St Luke’s with efforts such as staff volunteering and sponsored walks. Bentley workers also restored an old London Routemaster bus for St Luke’s. The bus was named Luke and is the only Routemaster bus in the world that sports Bentley livery. It is used as a mobile base to provide public education and aid with fundraising efforts.

Chief executive officer of Care2Save Andrea Fragata Ladeira said the charity is “delighted to be working with Bentley” and that the relationship will mean there is more support for hospices both in the UK and abroad.

She added: “I would like to encourage as many people as possible to enter the competition and also visit the Care2Save website to learn more about how they can support the hospice sector.”
