Silverstone has been the scene of many of the great events in motoring history, but it is the cars of the future that will be on display at Fully Charged Live this weekend (June 9th-10th).
The electric vehicle show will be the perfect opportunity to see just how far the technology has come, and what kind of cars people will soon be driving as the norm.

However, there will also be a vision of the top end of the market, with star turns set to include the Jaguar I-Pace. The car will be making one of its first public appearances at the event, with the car boasting acceleration of 0-60mph in 4.5 seconds and a range of 298 miles. Just as importantly, it is eligible for the Office for Low Emission Vehicles (OLEV) £4,500 Plug in Car Grant, as well as the £500 Electric Vehicle Homecharge Scheme.
Admittedly, that may not be a lot of money to anyone who can afford the £58,995 price tag, but this is just one of the motoring marvels visitors will be treated to. In fact, every electric vehicle currently available in the UK will be there, so the full range of choice will be there for all to see.
Charged up with things to see
Indeed, the event will be as comprehensive as it is possible to be; visitors can enjoy 16 different sessions covering issues from the latest renewable technology through to a pit zone and Q and A sessions with the experts.
There is even a chance to win £1,000 a day thanks to Myenergi, one of the sponsors of the event. The main sponsor is Ecotricity and other firms involved include Chargemaster, Drive Electric, REA and Calvin Capital.
