If we have a summer in the UK similar to the one we had last year (or even a summer like the February we are currently having) and your wallet or purse is deep enough, you might be interested to hear about the Lamborghini Huracán Evo Spyder!

The Lamborghini Huracán Evo Spyder; 0-62mph in 3.1 seconds (there has to be a ‘point one’ in such figures these days) – and it’s as a drop-top for those countryside or coastal drives…

You can get the canvas roof down in around 17 seconds up to a speed of 31mph thanks to a button on the centre tunnel. With the roof up, the rear window can still be lowered. Lamborghini say that they have also improved cabin airflow to reduce wind noise, and pop-up rollover bars are fitted behind the rear seats and are automatic.

Before tax, the Huracán Evo Spyder will set you back £181,781 – that’s a price saving of roughly a Mini Countryman compared to the faster Lamborghini Huracán Evo. But add delivery of around £5,000 and VAT and the car will actually cost around £195,000. The Evo Spyder has a top speed of 202mph and the naturally aspirated V10 5.2-litre engine pushes out 631bhp. The soft-top weighs in at a slightly heavier 1,542kg compared to the Huracán Evo thanks to all the extra torsional stiffness required.

Rear wheel steering is standard, but you can also tune your preferred driving requirements thanks to the Lamborghini LDVI (Lamborghini Dinamica Veicolo Integrata), which is your command centre – or ‘brain’ –allowing you to utilise and choose from various chassis and powertrain settings and driving modes. Driving modes consist of SPORT, CORSA and STRADA. The LDVI allows the car to coordinate all the car’s complex systems to manage the dynamics of the drive.

Inside, there is an 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system built into the centre tunnel, and upholstery is available in leather, Carbon Skin and Alcantara. Carbon Skin, Lamborghini say, is an exclusive and innovative carbon fibre material.
