The 675LT is the purest distillation of what McLaren stands for – pure driving pleasure.”It’s hard to disagree with the manufacturer’s CEO, as it is a lightweight model with optimised aerodynamics and a product of track-focused dynamics. All of this has been created to make the 675LT one of the most exciting cars that you can drive on the road.Engineers at McLaren have made the model capable of shocking speed, as it will do the 0-62mph sprint in 2.9 seconds, 0-124mph in 8.1 seconds and it has a top speed of 203mph. Most standard road cars aren’t even capable of a zero to 60 performance in under ten seconds, so the fact that the McLaren can manage to hit 124mph in this time is seriously impressive. There are 700Nm of torque available almost immediately as well, so you’re going to feel the speed whipping past your face in a most pleasant way.\u00a0Choosing to produce another model under the 675LT label was a decision that was heavily influenced by customer demand, making this a car for the people, rather than for the company. In order to deliver maximum performance and excitement, the 675LT had its weight reduced by 100kg, thanks to the use of carbon fibre materials. Stripping this weight means that the power is more evenly distributed around the model making drive more balanced and smooth.Although the performance of the model is second to none, the 675LT Spider will return 24.2mpg on the EU combined cycle and it’s CO2 emissions are 275g\/km, which is impressive for this type of sportscar.\u00a0Of course, it isn’t all about the power, as the 675LT Spider is quite the looker too! It features dramatic styling with a retractable hard stop and an engine that is visible throughout a vented cover. Here comes the sad bit folks, only 500 units will be produced of the 675LT Spider and all have been snapped up already, making the model one of the most exclusive in McLaren’s Super Series."},{"@context":"https:\/\/schema.org\/","@type":"BreadcrumbList","itemListElement":[{"@type":"ListItem","position":1,"name":"Supercars","item":"https:\/\/smart-motoring.com\/supercars\/#breadcrumbitem"},{"@type":"ListItem","position":2,"name":"THE LONG TAIL OF McLAREN","item":"https:\/\/smart-motoring.com\/supercars\/the-long-tail-of-mclaren\/#breadcrumbitem"}]}]
