The Ferrari GTC4 Lusso made its debut at this year’s Geneva Motor Show in March, boasting a new integration of rear-wheel steering with four-wheel drive. This was the first time the Italian brand had made this distinction and now Ferrari is making waves again by changing the engine iteration in the model.

Hot off the press news says that the new GTC4 Lusso T is now available with the same turbocharged V8 engine you’ll find under the bonnet of the 488 GTB supercar.

Why is this news? Only because it’s the first four-seat model in the history of the entire Ferrari company to be fitted with a turbo V8.

Next week, you’re sure to see a flurry of images of the model, as it’s going to be gracing a stand at the Paris Motor Show. If you’re lucky enough to be attending, you’ll get to see it with a 3.9-litre V8.

Unlike the current variant, the new GTC4 Lusso will be a rear-wheel drive model to match the model’s steering system.

It’s being called the entry-level successor to the Ferrari FF – the things we would do to get behind the wheel of this car…

We have to admit, that making an entry-level version is something of a change in tactics for Ferrari, as the brand is known for making cars that travel faster than their previous variants.

However, the manufacturer has said that the V8 engine will make this model more suitable to a day-to-day lifestyle, leaving the V12 iteration as shining example of what it is to be a GT model.

We don’t want you thinking that the new GTC4 Lusso T is a slow rider; it will do the zero to 62mph sprint in 3.5 seconds and will accelerate in excess of 200mph. Whoosh!

In terms of style, you won’t see much between the V8 and V12 instead it’s the price that makes a difference. You can expect to see the Ferrari GTC4 Lusso T to come in at under £200,000, which we would say is quite the bargain really, wouldn’t you?
