Each wheel will be held on by titanium bolts and feature Pirelli P Zero Corsa tyres.In terms of engine power, the model will feature a 3.8 litre twin turbo V8 capable of producing 641 bhp and able to do 0 to 62 mph in three seconds.Just 50 of the cars are set to be available and will cost from \u00a3255,850 each – making it a very unique car for McLaren fans.Paul Mackenzie, executive director of McLaren Special Operations, explained the car will play tribute to the strong racing history of the company and its successes during the 1960s and 1970s.He added: “The 650S Can-Am is a modern day interpretation with a mixture of functional design features taken from the all-conquering models, combined with the lightest and most pioneering materials available.”In particular, drivers are likely to be impressed by the extensive use of lightweight visual carbon fibre, including for the retractable hard top, as well as the familiar sound of the V8.
