Designers have had to slightly alter the design of the car and introduce a rear spoiler that is 12mm higher than on the coupe model to account for the difference in lift.Under the hood, the car has a 3.8-litre twin-turbocharged McLaren V8 engine with a seven-speed transmission. Drivers can expect to do 0 to 62 mph in 3.2 seconds and a maximum speed of 204 mph, although this lowers to 196 mph with the top down.Mike Flewitt, chief executive officer, McLaren Automotive said: “The McLaren 570S Spider is the most attainable McLaren Spider to date and adds yet another dimension to the McLaren Sports Series family.“This is a convertible without compromise; its mid-engined layout and carbon fibre MonoCell II chassis guarantee the same thrilling dynamic performance and exceptional driver involvement enjoyed in a 570S Coupe, but with the added attraction of a retractable hard-top that delivers the extra exhilaration of roof-down motoring.”Buyers can pick from a total of 20 different paint colours, including three specific to the launch of the Spider – Curacao Blue, Vega Blue and Sicilian Yellow.Inside, there are various upgrades to choose from including carbon-fibre-shelled seats or the comfier option of electric memory seats with Nappa leather trim.The official debut of the McLaren 570S Spider will take place on 29th June at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, with the first cars set to be delivered to customers in August – hopefully in time for the god summer weather."},{"@context":"https://schema.org/","@type":"BreadcrumbList
@type":"ListItem
{"@type":"ListItem
