That’s all down to a four-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine – the most powerful McLaren road car internal combustion unit ever.Its blistering pace is partly thanks to tweaks to the body design, rear wing and active aero front and rear, which generate 800kg of downforce at 155mph.Meanwhile, a carbon fibre Monocage III chassis and carbon fibre body panels minimise the car’s weight and make it the lightest road car McLaren has built since the iconic F1, which tipped the scales at 1,198kg.Mike Flewitt, chief executive officer at McLaren Automotive, said the Senna was a car like no other, designed to excel on the track yet remaining legal for road use.“Every element of this new McLaren has an uncompromised performance focus, honed to ensure the purest possible connection between driver and machine and deliver the ultimate track driving experience in the way that only a McLaren can,” he commented.It ain’t cheap though, commanding a price tag of £750,000. You could probably sell it on for five times the price in a couple of years though, because only 500 will ever be built.Hashtag: investment!"},{"@context":"https://schema.org/","@type":"BreadcrumbList
@type":"ListItem
{"@type":"ListItem
