I think the most intriguing and exciting thing about the Lamborghini Huracán STO SC 10 Anniversario is that despite its immediate appearance, this is actually a road going car.

Yes, it seems that Lamborghini’s motorsport department, Squadra Corse, has created a celebratory Huracán that you can effectively take the kids to school in. Now there would be some bragging rights.

The famous Huracán race car itself has won more than 50 races in the GT3 series, as well as three consecutive GTD class wins in the 24 Hours of Daytona so for fans of this beast of the race track, this is bound to generate some excitement.

This particular model diverges from the company’s many track-based versions by allowing the user to drive on our roads, with Squadra saying that the Anniversario is a testament to how it is possible to transfer some of the extreme cutting-edge tech used in motorsport to be used in a road-going vehicle.

The very striking 2-tone lime green colours consist of Verde Mantis for the green and Nero Noctis for the inky blacks.

The colours are influenced by Lamborghini’s SC63 hybrid racer which the company unveiled at this year’s Goodwood in preparation for 2024’s 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Both these cars also have a sporty, race-style triple colour stripe centring the cars. On each door sits a ‘10’ indicating the anniversary as well as hitting all the right buttons for the racing ethos of the Huracán STO SC 10.

While the car is arguably more suitable for track (just look at the thing) the Anniversario also provides a road-legal titanium Akrapovic exhaust which will accentuate the V10 Sant’Agata Bolognese; there’s simply no hiding in this car.

Each seat comes with 4-point harnesses, while an aluminium anti-roll bar adds further security for the occupants.

Huracán STO SC 10 Anniversario On The Road Price TBA

Effectively, what we have here is a Huracán racer with a performance kit to enable legal road and track use.

There is no word on prices or how many will be produced as yet, but we can expect that any excitement generated will also need to be tempered with quite a deep wallet.
