A longitudinally mounted direct-injection V6 petrol engine is the main powerhouse of the new NSX, but this has been coupled with a single electric motor driving the rear axle and two further electric motors on the front wheels to more effectively manage torque and improve handling and responsiveness for the driver.

This innovative configuration has been named Honda’s Sport Hybrid all-wheel-drive system, and works with the manufacturer’s Agile Handling Assist technology to promote enhanced dynamic stability.
