Ferrari is to reveal the latest addition to its range, the GTC4Lusso at the Geneva Motor show in March 2016. The model is a four-seater vehicle that boasts class-leading performance and a versatile driving performance.

Evolving from the sporting Grand Tourer concept, the new GTC4Lusso integrates rear-wheel steering with four-wheel drive, making it comfortable for driving a range of distances and conditions. The GTC4Lusso takes its name from previous incumbents, including the 330 GTC, the 33GT and the 250 GT – typically one of Enzo Ferrari’s favourite models. These predecessors combined a strong aesthetic appeal alongside the brand’s famous levels of performance, which is expected from the new model.

Powering the new Ferrari is a 12-cylinder engine with an output of 681 bhp and 697Nm of torque most of which is almost immediately available, showing good response under low revs.  In terms of performance, the GTC4Lusso does the 0-60mph sprint in 3.4 seconds and will reach a maximum speed of 208mph.

The integrated four-wheel drive system and rear-wheel steering, results in a brand new 4RM-S system from Ferrari, based on the company’s Prancing Horse patent. Other vehicle dynamics controls include the new version of the Slip Side Control (4.0) system, which incorporates the E-Diff, and SCM-E dampers. The dynamics controls integrate as part of the GTC4Lusso’s software, which combines with the high amount of low rev torque to result in a controlled drive.

Predictably, the appearance of the GTC4Lusso is sporty, with a curved roof and chiselled lines but the model still has enough space to comfortably fit all four passengers.
