Ferrari’s 770bhp F12tdf was an absolute monster, and with all 799 units already sold at £339,000 each, they’re super rare.

However, for those with enough cash, there’s a fresh chance to get hold of the next best thing: the SP 275 RW Competizione.

The Specification

This new bespoke one-off model is like a Ferrari greatest hits.

Combining the F12 chassis with the bonkers 770bhp 6.3-litre V12 engine of the tdf, all while boasting a new design replicating the 275 GTB – one of the most iconic front-engined V12 berlinettas of the 1960s.

Designed under the direction of Ferrari’s Styling Centre in collaboration with Pininfarina, the SP 275 RW Competizione is a modern take on some of the themes that give the 275 GTB its berlinetta connotation according to Ferrari, such as the pursuit for the perfect balance in proportions and the pure and curvaceous surface treatment.

The supercar brand adds that the stance of the car was carefully refined with a slightly wider track over the rear wheels, with particular care applied in the muscular transition from the rear three-quarter panel to the wheel arch.

Other evident styling cues include the 275 GTB’s characteristic front engine bay vents and the triple louvres in the three-quarter panel in place of the F12 berlinetta’s B-pillar quarter lights.

Meanwhile, the louvres on the rear bumper and milled aluminium fuel filler cap recall the special competition-developed 275 GTB that won the GT category in the 1965 Le Mans 24 Hour race, placing third overall behind the winning 250 LM.

Its front-end features a closed perimeter Ferrari grille with a prominent bonnet bulge, as well as slim, vertically-stacked headlights and forged 20-inch alloys.

The yellow paint scheme is also a nod to that 275 GTB, echoing its Ecurie Francorchamps team colour.

How quick is it though?

It’s good for 62mph in 2.9 seconds, racing to 124mph in 7.9 seconds. We’ll leave it at that…
