Following on from the Bugatti Lifestyle Boutique that opened in 2013 in London, the prestige company have announced the launch of a Bugatti Showroom. The flagship store will be housed at the HR Owen dealership in Bruton Street, Mayfair (where else..) in London.
The French manufacturer enjoys very favourable sales in the UK, so this is a shrewd move on their part and set in the perfect location. What this means is that HR Owen will no longer be sharing the Bugatti brand with other prestige manufacturers and will become a sole Bugatti specialist dealership.
Now this is news in itself, but Bugatti have been very clever in choosing their moments and this announcement also coincides with the news that the showroom will also be the only place in the UK that the Bugatti Chiron can be ordered.
When you walk through the door of the new showroom you will find that luxury oozes from every corner, with Bugatti branded furniture as well as artwork. You will be able to sit in carbon fibre and leather armchairs, chairs that match the Bugatti Chiron, and you will be bathed in subtle Bugatti electric blue light.
The Chiron is the World’s most powerful supercar, which was announced in February to have a staggering 1480bhp. Only 500 of the cars will be made and 200 have already been snapped up.
Anita Krizsan, Brand Director at the new showroom has said that the showroom should not be seen as an exclusive club – anyone is welcome to visit and see and learn more about the Bugatti brand. The Chiron is not going to be roped off like a museum piece either, fans and potential buyers can treat this as any other showroom.
You could almost view HR Owen as an electric blue portal for genuine Bugatti Chiron buyers, as the next stage after walking through the Mayfair showroom’s door (and being verified as a genuine customer of course) is an invite to the Bugatti factory in Molsheim, near Strasbourg in France; a very nice personal touch for each customer and the beginning of an exclusive journey towards ownership.
If the Netherlands are anything to go by, where a similar showroom opened in Amsterdam in February, business should be good. The Dutch Bugatti showroom has already sold 8 Chirons, which is pretty impressive considering the car retails in the UK at £1,900,000 with a £200,000 deposit required.
