An array of new features and technologies have been added to the specification of the Bentley Mulsanne for buyers in 2013, the luxury vehicle manufacturer has revealed.

Comfort is a major priority area for buyers of this iconic model, with the latest incarnation of the Mulsanne ensuring only the finest interior materials and systems are being used to deliver a feeling of pure sophistication and relaxation.

Hand-crafted leather seats come complete with adjustable head and footrests, as well as duck down-filled cushions for that extra touch of opulence.

New technology has also been embraced in the new model, with the 2013 Mulsanne set to feature onboard internet connectivity and its Wi-Fi capabilities set to make the vehicle a full Wi-Fi hotspot for owners.

In addition, the Mulsanne has been updated with the latest in-car entertainment and connectivity, meaning Apple iPad owners can also plug their devices into the Mulsanne's onboard systems.

Three new colour options have also been introduced for buyers, meaning creating a bespoke Mulsanne design is that much simpler.

Kevin Rose, member of the board for sales, marketing and aftersales at Bentley, said: "The new features of the Mulsanne blend striking design with the latest in technology integration, enabling our pinnacle model to offer the grandest of touring experiences.

"The Mulsanne presents unrivalled luxury and effortless performance, and these enhancements will help broaden the appeal of the Mulsanne in new and emerging markets."

Earlier this month, the luxury vehicle manufacturer also announced the unveiling of its new GT Speed Convertible model at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit

Bentley chairman and chief executive Dr Wolfgang Schreiber described the vehicle as "the world's fastest four-seat soft-top" and backed up this claim with the car's stunning statistics, including its top speed of 202 mph and ability to accelerate from zero to 60 mph in just 4.1 seconds – courtesy of its 616 bhp 6.0-litre twin-turbocharged W12 engine.
