Luxury car brand Rolls-Royce has revealed the details of its latest limited edition model, the Ghost V-Specification.
The model is set to be available for purchase between January and June 2014, and is an enhanced version of the Ghost and Ghost Extended Wheelbase motor cars.
Of course, the new car features the Rolls-Royce defining characteristic of an excellent engine, fitted with a 6.6-litre V12. Jaw-dropping isn’t it?
Despite its obvious weighty presence and chunky, classic design features, this monstrous machine can go from 0 to 60mph in as little as 4.7 seconds. How’s that for acceleration? And that’s only on 80 per cent power.
However, despite this unbelievable starting speed, the car still provides that executive smoothness that makes the Rolls-Royce such a choice model for the rich and successful.
Torsten Müller-Ötvös, chief executive of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, said: “Since its introduction in 2009, an extraordinary marriage of assured presence and remarkable driving dynamics has endeared Ghost to a new generation of highly discerning businessmen and women, ensuring the car’s position as the statement of choice for a growing band of successful entrepreneurs around the world.”
The new Rolls-Royce obviously maintains the classic body-shape that we are some familiar with. A flat nose, elegant, refined lines, and impressive wheel sizes.
Unsurprisingly, this dignified image continues to the interior, with plush leather adorning the seats complete with white trim, while the Rolls-Royce logo is a prominent feature throughout.
There is no outwardly crazy or unnecessary tech inside either, with the Rolls choosing to be minimalist and classy rather than looking ahead to the future.
The car will be delivered on commission, but its certainly not going to fly off the shelves. Perhaps only the motorists with the deepest pockets will be able to stretch to this impressive addition to the Rolls-Royce range, making it even more exclusive for those lucky few owners.
For many of us, the Ghost V-Specification will be a long distant ambition. However, we can always hope for a lottery win, can’t we?
