McLaren has released a short film offering the first glimpse of its new MP4-12C Spider in action on the road.
The two-minute video, which can be seen on McLaren Automotive's official YouTube channel, features the new supercar being put through its paces on mountain roads in southern Spain.
It also shows the model's Retractable Hard Top – which operates in less than 17 seconds – being lowered with the vehicle in motion.
"The exhilarating aspects of driving the 12C Spider are captured beautifully in this great new film," said Antony Sheriff, managing director of McLaren Automotive.
"Top up or top down, the sports car with highest performance among the competition just became even more breathtaking."
McLaren has equipped the 12C Spider with a mid-mounted 3.8-litre V8 engine and the same carbon-fibre Monocell chassis as the coupe version. The first deliveries are expected to take place in November and prices will start at £195,000.
