The Jaguar XF has added to its considerable list of achievements by being named the car of the decade by the Southern Group of Motoring Writers (SGMW).
At an event to mark the group's tenth anniversary, the successor to the Jaguar S-Type was described as "a worthy winner of this notable award" by SGMW chairman Sue Baker.
She added: "The Jaguar XF has a style, grace and driving calibre that impressed our members enough to make it our outstanding choice as car of the decade."
Managing director of Jaguar Land Rover UK Jeremy Hicks said more than 52,000 XF models have been sold in Britain since the car was launched in 2008.
The vehicle, which aims to combine high performance with luxury saloon features, has now received more than 100 awards around the world.
Earlier this year, it was named executive car of the year in the What Car? JD Power Survey 2012, while Jaguar was hailed as the number one car manufacturer.
