The Bentley Continental GT has been named as the best new car coupe at the prestigious annual awards by German motoring publication Motor Klassik.
Voted for by readers of the magazine, the honour was bestowed upon the luxury car manufacturer at a gala award ceremony in Schloss Dyck
yesterday (March 20th).
Bentley regional director for Europe Guillaume Chabin said: "The Continental GT is a design icon with a truly unique blend of luxury, craftsmanship and performance, reflecting the essence of the Bentley brand."
He added that the design of the
Continental GT is timeless and makes an eloquent statement not only today, but also as a classic vehicle of the future.
The luxury car manufacturer also announced last month the specifications for its new Mulsanne model for 2012.
Set to include significant performance and styling
enhancements, the 6.75-litre V8 ultra-luxury sports saloon will now be able to achieve acceleration of zero to 62 mph in just 5.1 seconds – faster than many top sports cars – and will feature new options including a sunroof and Diamond Quilted interior upholstery.
