Bentley has announced it will be releasing new enhanced editions of two of its most impressive models – the Continental and the Flying Spur.
Both models will include luxury options and specification updates, with the Geneva Motor Show set to be the stage where they are officially unveiled.
The manufacturer has proudly announced the Continental GT Speed will be the fastest production Bentley ever.
Under the bonnet, the 6.0-litre twin turbo W12 engine has been pushed to the limit and can now achieve a staggering 635 PS and 820 Nm of torque. All of this ensures the model can shift to speeds up to 206 mph, or 203 mph in the convertible option.
This incredible pace is helped by a new Speed chassis setup, with a lower and stiffened suspension.
It has also seen a number of image changes, with a new front splitter, discrete side skirts and an altered rear diffuser.
Bentley wants the model to stand-out even more over its siblings, so has added a dark tint finish to the wheels, in addition to new headlamps and tail lamps. For those who really want to be noticed, there is an option to get the car in Candy Red bodypaint.
Of course, the exterior luxury continues inside. The Speed branding is adorned throughout, while little details on the stitching and accent stripes make the model that little bit extra special.
While the Speed model is the big news for Bentley in the Continental segment, the manufacturer has also revealed that 2014 will see enhanced luxury across the entire model family.
The Continental will now come with massaging and ventilated seats, a premium audio system, a rear-view camera and twin from arm rests.
Moving on, we turn our attention to the Flying Spur – Bentley’s iconic luxury sedan model.
The car will now be fitted with a V8 powertrain. This 4.0-litre, twin turbo beast is able to develop 507 PS and 660 Nm torque, pushing the Flying Spur to a top speed of 183 mph and a 0-60 mph speed of 4.9 seconds.
Its not just speed the car delivers, but endurance too. The model has a fuel range of a staggering 520 miles, thanks to a highly efficient engine design.
Furthermore, the Flying Spur will be fitted with a whole range of on-board technology to make it that much more desirable. According to Bentley, it makes the car perfect for work or relaxation when on the move.
Drivers will be able to control the infotainment, navigation and car climate using the centre console, while a touch screen remote will allow passengers to do this from the rear seat.
