UK circuits are open and you can book your next track day now!
As circuits reopen, we can once again head to the track and let loose. That being said, there will still be some things that will have to be done differently.

In what is certainly good news for track day enthusiasts, many of the county’s circuits are reopening and taking bookings for track days, whilst taking necessary precautions to make the experience as low-risk as possible and to ensure the safety of all visitors and staff.
For instance, MSV announced last month that they would cautiously reopen their gates to throttle-heavy petrolheads soon and more recently on June 1st, they released a newer statement to reiterate the new guidelines and rules.
Brands Hatch, Donington, Oulton, Snetterton, Cadwell and Bedford Autodrome are all taking bookings for a range of track days for cars, motorcycles and novices. MSV have iterated many new rules to uphold the highest standard of safety and hygiene and similar rules can be expected from other organising bodies for other circuits.
These rules state that only one passenger per car is allowed and both driver and passenger must be from the same household. While additional drivers are welcome, they must travel to the venue separately and the car (steering wheel, door handles, seat belts etc.) should be wiped down before swapping drivers.
Also, helmet hire and in-car instructors are no longer available so be sure to bring your own lids! Pre-event registration and briefing will be done online rather than in-person and on-site restaurants will only be offering food to take away and visitors are allowed to bring their own food and drink.
All of these rules are in-line with MSV’s goal of making attending a track day at one of their circuits no riskier than going to your local supermarket. Once you add this all up, the experience of a track day may feel slightly different but the on-track experience should feel as exhilarating as ever.
Bookings are being bought up quicker than ever though so you’ll want to make a reservation as soon as you can!
For insurance, we would recommend Grove & Dean Motorsport as they’re quick, reasonably priced and you can get a discount for multi-event and annual policies. Also, they’re still up and running during this period with plenty of staff still manning the phones! Furthermore, they offer insurance for transit and storage of your track day car in case anything goes wrong before you arrive at the track.
Other circuits open for track day bookings include, but not limited to, Anglesey in Wales, Thruxton in Andover, the small but fun Blyton Park, Croft Circuit in Yorkshire, Mallory Park near Leicester, Castle Combe near Bath and more.
Director of MSV, Mark Neate has said “We have been completely overwhelmed by the support shown by our customers. We’ve had an unprecedented number of bookings for our relaunched trackdays at Cadwell Park, Donington Park and Snetterton, and those who have attended have followed the guidance to the letter.”
