They’re cool, they’re fast and they’re ridiculously expensive.Now, just like anything in life I believe supercars have certain stereotypes attached to them. Just like how it says a lot about you if you like the ‘Rick and Morty Fans’ page on Facebook or follow Katie Hopkins on Twitter, the types of cars you like can also reveal a bit about who you are.We’re taking it to the extreme and making unreasonable assumptions about exactly the type of person you are based on nothing more than your favourite supercar. Let us know if we got it right!Now obviously we can’t cover all the supercars ever made so you will just have to pick which is closest to your favourite out of the cars listed below. Although, beware that judgement will come with your choice.Lamborghini AventadorWe start off with the most basic supercar you can think of. The Aventador is what you buy if you’re rich, want to show off and have no imagination whatsoever.If this is your favourite supercar, your idol is probably an obnoxious YouTuber like Jake Paul or Morgz.You have at least 3 points on your license and you drive like a bit of a jerk.That being said, there is also a good chance that you’re not even an adult and in fact a 13-year-old who just likes cool cars because that is who the Aventador is for. 13-year-olds or those with the same taste as a 13-year-old. Tesla Performance modelsIf you have chosen this as your favourite supercar then you have already announced to the world that you know nothing about cars. Yes, the Tesla Model S P100D has one of the fastest 0-60 mph launches in the world and yes the Model X P100D will also beat a Lamborghini in a drag race but they’re not supercars. Tesla is on this list as a trap and you have fallen for it.If you genuinely would rather have a fast Tesla over an actual supercar then that tells us a lot. Firstly, you’re probably a PC gamer and have spent silly money on a powerful rig along with a high-refresh-rate monitor which you have definitely put the RGB LEDs on the back of.Also, you probably work in software and code for fun on the weekends. Next to your PC ‘battle station’ you have a shrine for your personal God, Elon Musk.Ferrari F40The Ferrari F40 is a ‘legendary icon’, as you have heard from pretty much every automotive news outlet ever. This is why you like it.You may be the type of person who just likes things because you have been told that they are good, which is why you also hail Pulp Fiction as one of the greatest films ever made and when people say they don’t like it, you tell them that it must be because they just don’t properly understand it.McLaren F1You’re a person who really knows their stuff about cars and engineering. You don’t judge a car by its badge or by how flashy it looks but instead, you look for things such as reliability, build quality and solid engineering.The car you drive isn’t anything too flashy, probably something sensible like a Toyota or a Ford. The McLaren F1 isn’t really a classic supercar that people below 30 think about so you are likely past the 30 mark. You are also the natural enemy of the people that chose the Audi R8 on this list.Lexus LFAYou’re a bit of a hipster and a massive car nerd. Your knowledge of obscure Japanese sports cars is second to none and you probably work in the auto industry, perhaps as a mechanic.You either drive a Ford Fiesta ST or some souped-up JDM car like an old Honda Civic with a custom exhaust on it. Your favourite film is The Fast and The Furious: Tokyo Drift and your childhood was mostly Need For Speed, Burnout and Midnight Club.Ferrari 488A Ferrari is the ultimate symbol of wealth, you believe, which is why you are a bit of a car snob. You judge a 4 Series driver because it’s ‘only a 420d’. You judge a Huracan owner because ‘they couldn’t afford an Aventador’. You judge people who have bought a Nissan GT R because it’s ‘the poor man’s supercar’.You likely spend all of your time on Instagram and follow awful accounts that post pictures of the same five luxury cars that get the most likes and overuse the laughing emoji, when you should be following @MotorVision_.Audi R8People who say that the R8 is their favourite supercar of all time are a bit like the people that chose the Lamborghini as their favourite but maybe even a bit worse.Chances are you watch reality TV such as TOWIE or Love Island and the most important things to you are a good tan, white teeth and owning a luxury car that you can barely afford.People choose the Audi R8 as their favourite because it’s the cars their idols have. Footballers, reality TV stars, famous people on Instagram and so on.Honda NSXThis is literally no one’s favourite supercar and you like it that way because it makes you feel unique and indie. It’s certainly not a bad choice as the NSX is an awesome car but you probably only like it because no one else does.Similar to the Tesla lovers you are likely an indoorsy type that is also technically minded and appreciates Japanese cars such as the Lexus LFA, Toyota Supra and Nissan GT-R.Aston Martin VantageIf you chose the Vantage as your favourite supercar then you are among the few. It’s flashy, but not as flashy as a Lamborghini. It’s fast, but not as fast as a Ferrari. So, what does it offer over the rest? An Aston Martin badge.If the Vantage is your choice, you probably like the finer things in life. You enjoy popping open an overpriced bottle of champagne. You likely wear expensive polo tops along with a posh watch on your wrist. You’re a member of a country club and you wear your hair with a middle parting.Basically, you’re at least a little bit posh and there’s nothing wrong with that, of course.Let us know how much we nailed it in the comments.If you enjoyed this, why not read ‘Car Brand Stereotypes That Are Totally Accurate’."},{"@context":"https://schema.org/","@type":"BreadcrumbList
@type":"ListItem
{"@type":"ListItem
