The vehicle also features all-wheel drive (AWD) and a13.2kWh lithium-ion battery. Owners will be able to choose from four different driving modes &#8211; electric, hybrid, AWD and sport. When being driven in full electric mode, theGrandland X offers a maximum range of 30 miles, while switching to hybridallows the car to select the most efficient source of power. For instance, whendriving in cities at low speed, it will automatically select electric mode foremission-free driving.To further improve its efficiency, the Grandland X also boasts a regenerative braking system that can increase the vehicle\u2019s electric range by as much as ten per cent.Vauxhall also highlighted the car\u2019s \u201cfast,easy and convenient\u201d charging system. It comes with a 3.3kW onboard charger,although an optional 6.6kW version is also available.Fast-charging devices for use at public stations will also be offered, along with wall boxes for home charging. With a 7.4kW wallbox, the battery can be fully charged in less than two hours.The launch of the Grandland X marks the lateststep in Vauxhall\u2019s ongoing commitment to electric electric motoring.
