There’s plenty to look forward to this year when it comes to fast cars.New BMW M3 and M4Set to launch in March of this year, the new M3 and M4 have already introduced themselves in a spectacular fashion. Featuring bold new designs, they both will be sporting the much larger kidney grilles that split opinions of fans down the middle. The extravagant new look also comprised of some wild colours including a neon-like yellow, satin finish blue and that gorgeous deep green as well as some very aggressive bonnet vents.We can’t wait to find out more about how these handle, sound, look and feel in 2021 but most importantly, we’re just excited to see them out on the public roads. Both fitted with a 3.0-litre inline-six engine producing around 480hp, with that figure going up to 510hp in the Competition versions.Maserati MC20With deliveries expected in Q2 of 2021, the Maserati MC20’s launch is right around the corner. The predecessor of this car, the iconic MC12, was ultra-rare with only 50 produced and we’re still uncertain of how many MC20’s will be produced by Maserati. Will it be another rare halo car or will it be a mass-produced homage to the original? We’ll have to wait and see.Having butterfly doors, a carbon-fibre chassis and beautiful modern-yet-faithful design, the MC20 will surely be the supercar of the first half of 2021.Nissan 400ZAnother sports car in a neon-like yellow colour, the Nissan 400Z is one that not everyone saw coming. In typical Nissan fashion of being the slowest manufacturer when it comes to releasing new cars, the 400Z has finally arrived after what feels like a millennium of being stuck with iterations of the GT-R and 370Z (Z coupe).Not much is known about the 400Z other than it will have a twin-turbo V6 (but not as insane as the GT-R V6) and will likely be a competitor to the Toyota Supra in terms of price and performance.Mercedes-AMG Project OneWe’ve heard the term ‘like an F1 car for the road’ ever since supercars have existed, it would see. Well, be prepared to hear it again with the AMG Project One.To be fair, the AMG One has earned the use of the trope as it will be powered by a V6 that is as close to the F1 engine as possible. Revving up to 11,00 rpm, the 1.6-litre engine will have a single turbo and produce around 1,000 bhp, with some help from four powerful electric motors.It would seem this car has been forever in the making with deliveries initially set for 2019. Let’s hope it’s worth the wait!Porsche Taycan Cross TurismoIt would seem Porsche like giving the Taycan silly names. For instance, why is an all-electric car called a Taycan Turbo and why is the estate version called the Taycan Cross Turismo?Still, the Taycan Cross Turismo is shaping up to be an exciting new release in 2021, with it initially set for release in 2020 but likely being another victim of COVID-related delays. It’s near-identical to the Taycan except for the extended roofline and higher ground clearance.Set to be the more practical variant, the Taycan Cross Turismo will have a lot more boot space and struggle less with speed bumps and is intended to also be good for a bit of light off-roading.Let us know what cars you’re excited for in 2021, in the comments!If you enjoyed this, you may also like: ‘5 Electric Cars We’re Really Excited For In 2021’"},{"@context":"https://schema.org/","@type":"BreadcrumbList
@type":"ListItem
{"@type":"ListItem
Top 5 Sports Cars & Supercars For 2021
https://smart-motoring.com/latest-news/top-5-sports-cars-and-supercars-coming-in-2021/#breadcrumbitem"}]}]
