The New Mokka Is Surprisingly Hot!

Say goodbye to the old bland Mokka and hello to its funky replacement!

The old/current Mokka is rather bland, to put it nicely. It lacks personality and flare, although it may prove rather practical. Essentially, it’s a rather safe choice when it comes to choosing a car. Compared to the new 2021 Mokka, the difference is like night and day!

Like other over-styled crossovers on the market such as the Toyota C-HR, Nissan Juke and Kia Soul, the new Vauxhall Mokka has gone on the offensive with its new bold styling. You can tell they’re trying to make a statement with the new Mokka from the colour choices alone!

In the UK press images, they chose a bright green paint with a black secondary colour which is also seen on the wheels. If that isn’t Vauxhall trying to get our attention, then I don’t know what is! If that isn’t enough, Vauxhall are also blacking-out the badges for an even more aggressive look!

The newly-styled front end is squarer, sharper and even has its own name. Called the ‘Vauxhall Vizor’ this style of thin rectangular LED lights and a prominent badge is said to be the new standard for every new Vauxhall for the rest of the decade.

Starting at £24,605, the mid-range Mokka SRi includes 18-inch alloy wheels, tinted windows, that awfully-cool black badging and a contrasting black roof. The more affordable Mokka SE loses these features but still comes with 16-inch alloys, LED lights, 7-inch touchscreen, Apple car play and Android auto and auto emergency braking and forward collision alert.

At the top of the range, the SRi Ultimate Nav comes with matrix LED lights, a feature that’s been reserved for high-end luxury cars such as the Audi A8 up until recently.

The Mokka is also available in petrol, diesel and electric variants although it would seem that although the newly-styled Mokka certainly looks faster than its predecessor, it will likely still be just as sluggish with the 1.2-litre 3-cylinder petrol engine offering up just 128hp, equating to a 0-62mph time of 9.2 seconds.

On the inside, the previously bland crossover’s new style continues to impress. Full leather interior options will be available and even more impressively, so will things like Alcantara trim, heated seats and a heated steering wheel!

The old gauge cluster has also been swapped out for an all-digital 12-inch display which is connected to the infotainment screen, all housed in one panel to give the effect of having a single screen, like you would see in a Mercedes.
