It’s the first plug-in hybrid Ferrari, the first Ferrari with 4WD and the first Ferrari to have a V8 engine produce as much as 769 hp.Not only are the performance stats and figures absolutely staggering, but the SF90 is also a joy to look at. Yes, almost all Ferrari’s are beautiful and easy on the eye, but the SF90 is on a whole ‘nother level of gorgeousness. The stats of the ultimate FerrariThe most powerful production Ferrari ever made is capable of 0-62mph in 2.5 seconds and 0-124mph in an incredible 6.7 seconds, a new benchmark for acceleration in Ferrari cars. The total power output of the car is 1000 cv which equates to about 986 hp and is driven by an 8-speed F1 dual-clutch automatic transmission. The V8 turbo engine delivers 780 cv (769 hp) and the remaining 220 cv (217 hp) is delivered by 3 electric motors.One is situated between the engine and the 8-speed dual-clutch and the other two motors are at the front wheels. In total, the power output is a nice round figure of 1000 cv. Total engine displacement is 3990 cc with amaximum power output of 574 kW (780 cv) at 7500 rpm and maximum torque is 800Nm at 6000 rpm.With the SF90 Stradale being a PHEV (plug-in hybrid), it also has an independent battery range of 25 kilometres, meaning you won’t have to fire up the V8 at all for short journeys and you’ll still have 217 hp to play with. The car’s dry weight is 1570 kg and weight isdistributed with 45% front and 55% rear. Despite it being a highly-tuned,state-of-the-art performance masterpiece, the SF90 still has 74-litres of bootspace. The all-new Ferrari produces 390 kg of downforce at 250 km/h and although quarter-mile times haven’t been revealed yet, we’re thinking that it’ll be into the hypercar ‘sub-10 seconds’ category. The SF90 is unprecedented in yet another way because for the first time, a Ferrari will be available in a standard specification and a more performance-orientated specification.The Assetto Fiorano specification will include GT racing-derived Multimatic shock absorbers, more carbon fibre and titanium found on the door panels, exhaust, spoiler and underbody and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup2 tyres for superior performance. As beautiful as it is powerfulThe SF90’s name represents the 90th anniversary of the foundation of Scuderia Ferrari and so you would expect the car to have strong links to motorsport in its design and performance. One of the reasons the SF90 Stradale looks so different is because with the new technology that it uses, Ferrari faced new challenges in terms of design. Due to the SF90 being the most powerful Ferrari ever, the increase in power resulted in more heat needing to be dissipated.Radiating airflows needed to be revised and optimised to ensure that the engine doesn’t overheat, and at the same time, the car must still produce the right amount of downforce for maximum stability at high speeds. One interesting part of the aerodynamic design is the shut-off ‘gurney’ located at the rear of the car. When shut, drag is reduced at high speeds and air is redirected to other outlets to produce greater downforce. The interior design is described as ‘a complete departure from previous models’ as for the first time, the interior design is mostly focussed around the ‘eyes on the road, hands on the wheel’ philosophy.The styling of the interior is ultra-modern and somewhat minimalistic, allowing the driver to focus all of their attention on driving to the best of their ability. It’s hard to describe the new SF90 Stradale without using the words ‘sleek’, ‘curved’ and ‘slender’. Some may even liken the looks of the car to a spaceship thanks to the ultra-modern redesigned lights and curvy line that join the roof of the car to the rear. The lights don’t just look different but perform differently as well. For the first time ever in a Ferrari, the SF90 uses matrix LED headlight technology to better light the road ahead. This technology is also found in flagship luxury cars such as the technology-packed Audi A8.At the rear, the lights are also quite unusual for typical Ferrari styling. Rather than being fully circular, the lights feature a mix of straight and round edges creating a softened, rounded square-like shape. Less has changed at the front, but that’s notto say the SF90 hasn’t dared break the norm in terms of Ferrari design. Thelights have completely transformed to become more slender and the shape haschanged to an all-new C-shape. Overall, we’re looking forward to seeing thecar in action and finding out more about just how powerful the most powerfulFerrari is! Let us know what you think about the SF90 Stradale in the comments."},{"@context":"https://schema.org/","@type":"BreadcrumbList
@type":"ListItem
{"@type":"ListItem
