The car will be resplendent in the same shade of olive green that the 1969 Aston DBS had.The original DBS also featured briefly in the next Bond film, the much better known Diamonds Are Forever in 1971. In On Her Majesty\u2019s Secret Service \u2013 the sole outing for George Lazenby as Bond \u2013 the DBS is probably best remembered for the end sequence where it is adorned with flowers for the wedding. It didn\u2019t actually feature in too many action sequences. On the new model, the front grille bears a resemblance to the original, with 6 horizontal vanes, giving a further link to the 1969 DBS along with the unique and very classy looking paint job.Apart from the paint, your eyes will be naturally drawn to those striking spider\u2019s web alloys, diamond-turned and highly intricate and no doubt an eventual nightmare to keep clean once the initial excitement of ownership has worn off. As you might expect, the OHMSS DBS Superleggera features oodles of carbon-fibre, while the interior is kitted out with red pinstriped black leather and some Alcantara \u2013 plus some nice badging that is sure to start a conversation with those who become your passengers. If that doesn\u2019t get the conversation flowing, then a bespoke optional drinks case designed for the boot certainly should.The Bond inspired Superleggera doesn\u2019t come with any engine power upgrades, but that shouldn\u2019t disappoint too much, as the DBS is already equipped with a powerful twin-turbo V12 5.2-litre engine pushing out 715bhp. Marek Reichman, Chief Creative Officer at Aston, has saidthat he enjoys the challenge of coming up with a Bond 007 movie themed AstonMartin; something that keeps the legacy and respect of both marques in goodshape. If you want to get your hands on one, then you need to actfast as only 50 (naturally enough) will be built at a cost of \u00a3300,007.
