The European leg of thetour finishes with the first Polestar Space retail environment in Oslo, afterwhich the roadshow moves to the rest of the world.Chief executive of Polestar Thomas Ingenlath commented: “This is the chance for our customers and fans in Europe to get up close and personal with Polestar 2 for the first time in their home markets.”An electric vehicle brand jointly owned by Volvo Car Groupand Geely, Polestar launched in 2017 with the Polestar 1, a low-volume ElectricPerformance Hybrid GT. It had an electric-only range of 150km, which was thenthe longest of any hybrid car in the world.The Polestar 2 was revealed as the company’s first fully-electric model earlier this year, representing a higher volume premium car designed to compete with the Tesla Model 3.In an interview with Automotive News Europe, Mr Ingenlathcalled it a “powerful little beast”, and it’s true that performancehas already improved significantly.Polestar 2 is targeting a range of 275 miles per charge and can go from nought to 62mph in just 4.7 seconds. It has dual motor all-wheel drive and a 150 kW fast charging capability.It is alsounlocked and switched on via a smartphone app – no clumsy and inconvenient keyshere!However,it will come at a price, with the Polestar 2 expected to start at around\u00a340,000.
