Now only 6 months later, they’re set to build 10 units.Although the H2 Speed is based on traditional aspects of sports cars, particularly the chassis of Le Mans Prototype 2, the H2 Speed has a few extra, and unique additions.Powered by two race-specification electric motors and fed by a lightweight hydrogen fuel cell from their partners; Green GT, the hydrogen performance super car is a world first.Speed wise, the high performance track-car has the ability to reach 0-60 mph in just 3.4 seconds with a maximum speed of 186 mph and max horsepower of 503.The car contains 1 lightweight H2 duel cell and 2 race electric motors which are both meticulously placed at the side of the vehicle as opposed to standardly at the front or back, helping with the weight reduction. The side placement also allows easier access to the fuel cap, with refueling said to take just 3 minutes.Dimension wise at 4.7m long, 1.08m high and 2m wide, the H2 Speed only weighs 1420kg due to its carbon fibre chassis. The H2 Speed is said to be virtually emission free due to releasing water vapour into the atmosphere and, if that wasn’t cool enough, the H2 Speed is also, pretty much noiseless, sounding rather futuristic – take a listen:Franco-Swiss Partners Green GT, have specialised in the hydrogen powered fuel cell units’ design and production since 2008 – making them revolutionary. In all, Pininfarina have taken two years to develop and test the high performance super car.
