Peugeot says that the 54-kWh high-voltage battery has anew chemical composition, featuring 80% Nickel, 10% Manganese and 10% Cobalt.Operating at 400 volts, this is said to facilitate a range of over 400km (WLTP).Peugeot has also made a conscious effort to ensure that the 308s are as efficient aspossible. Thanks to the EMP2 platform’s weight optimisation, the use of class A tyres andoptimisation of the vehicle’s front end, Peugeot’s latest releases reportedly produceaverage energy consumption figures as low as 12.7kWh per 100km.Drivers can also further optimise energy efficiency by selecting between three differentdriving modes, ECO, NORMAL and SPORT, with Peugeot even offering a fourth BRAKE modewhich increases deceleration when the accelerator pedal is released to optimise energyrecovery.s standard, all vehicles will come with an 11kW-rated onboard three-phase charger. From a100kW public charging point, Peugeot claims the vehicle will charge from 20% to 80% in lessthan 25 minutes.With the new electric 308 and the standard 308 sharing many similar exterior designfeatures, it’s clear that the focus for Peugeot with this release was simply electrifying anestablished segment of their portfolio. The vehicle sees the brand’s recently refreshed crestproudly fixed to the centre of the grille, alongside a pair of fang-shaped light signatures. 18-inch aluminium wheels are one of only a few new external features that have beendeveloped specifically for the new 308s.Inside, the parallels with the e-308’s ICE counterpart continue, with this newest releasefeaturing the same central 10-inch touchscreen and a compact heated steering wheel thatwe’ve seen with Peugeot’s i-Cockpit. Peugeot also offers customers the MyPeugeotsmartphone application. The app provides a selection of useful features, including the abilityto schedule remote charging and launch thermal pre-conditioning remotely.You’ll be able to purchase both new electric vehicles in 2023, though Peugeot is yet toconfirm how much each will cost.Images: https://www.media.stellantis.com/em-en/peugeot/press/peugeot-e-308-and-e-308-sw-100-electric-versions-for-both-308-models?adobe_mc_ref="},{"@context":"https://schema.org/","@type":"BreadcrumbList
@type":"ListItem
{"@type":"ListItem
PEUGEOT REVEAL ELECTRIFIED VERSIONS OF THE 308
https://smart-motoring.com/latest-news/peugeot-reveal-electrified-versions-of-the-308/#breadcrumbitem"}]}]
