Thanks to the EMP2 platform\u2019s weight optimisation, the use of class A tyres andoptimisation of the vehicle\u2019s front end, Peugeot\u2019s latest releases reportedly produceaverage energy consumption figures as low as 12.7kWh per 100km.Drivers can also further optimise energy efficiency by selecting between three differentdriving modes, ECO, NORMAL and SPORT, with Peugeot even offering a fourth BRAKE modewhich increases deceleration when the accelerator pedal is released to optimise energyrecovery.s standard, all vehicles will come with an 11kW-rated onboard three-phase charger. From a100kW public charging point, Peugeot claims the vehicle will charge from 20% to 80% in lessthan 25 minutes.With the new electric 308 and the standard 308 sharing many similar exterior designfeatures, it\u2019s clear that the focus for Peugeot with this release was simply electrifying anestablished segment of their portfolio. The vehicle sees the brand\u2019s recently refreshed crestproudly fixed to the centre of the grille, alongside a pair of fang-shaped light signatures. 18-inch aluminium wheels are one of only a few new external features that have beendeveloped specifically for the new 308s.Inside, the parallels with the e-308\u2019s ICE counterpart continue, with this newest releasefeaturing the same central 10-inch touchscreen and a compact heated steering wheel thatwe\u2019ve seen with Peugeot’s i-Cockpit. Peugeot also offers customers the MyPeugeotsmartphone application.
