Land Rover has revealed details of its new all-terrain convertible that is bound to be a hit with those wanting both luxury and off-road capability.
The Range Rover Evoque Convertible will go on sale next year and is the first ever soft top in the car’s line-up.
Buyers will be able to choose from Si4 petrol and Ingenium diesel engines and the car is fitted with Land Rover’s high tech off-road capabilities. Therefore, drivers will be able to make use of the on-board options such as the Terrain Response system, Wade Sensing and All-Terrain Progress Control.
Inside, the new SUV convertible will feature Land Rover’s next-generation infotainment system, complete with a 10.2-inch touchscreen. The InControl Touch Pro makes use of 3G connectivity and can combine with smartphones to ensure seamless navigation to avoid getting lost in unfamiliar places.
However, the main feature is likely to be the unique fabric hood then can be lowered in around 18 seconds and can be raised in 21 seconds – perfect for those summer days.
Gerry McGovern, Land Rover design director and chief creative officer, said: “Range Rover Evoque Convertible is a vehicle for all seasons. Its uniquely distinctive design and world-class engineering adds another dimension to the Range Rover family, further enhancing its desirability and appeal.”
Prices for the Range Rover Evoque Convertible will start at around £47,500.
