These features include the likes of the headlights shape and the front grill, however both are slightly smaller.Mini have also retained the threewindow profile classic to its countryman, although they\u2019re much larger to fit the new 4.3 metre length.Implementation of silver roof bars can also be seen on the 2017 model. Mini claim this helps to mark the countryman as a true cross over.Mini state \u201cthe Countryman is now firmly anchored into the C-segment, making it an alternative to everything from a Volkswagen Golf to premium compact SUVs\u201d.Interior wise, the theme is certainly typical mini, with the continuous flow of quality material, leathers and double colour doors to mini\u2019s theme. Layout wise, the new model will be similar to the old, however with that longer length, comes larger leg room for back passengers.The 2017 model sees an all new dashboard with large centre screen and new rectangular air vents as opposed to the old circular versions.The new countryman comes in a few variations, with the countryman spotting a 1.5-litre three-cylinder engine with 136bbp and 162lb ft. The Cooper S version has a 2.0 litre four-cylinder engine, for 192bhp and 206lb ft. The base Cooper D and Cooper SD versions both have a 2.0 litre engine, with the D reaching 150bhp and the SD 190bhp.2017 is set to be a good year for Mini as they\u2019re also due to bring out their very first hybrid model, the Countryman SE. It\u2019ll a be a purely electric-only range reaching 25 miles, with a speed high of 65mph in 6.9sec.The hybrid SE model is said to combine the three-cylinder engine with the six-speed automatic transmission, offering an all-wheel drive. With both engines running at full capacity, the hybrid is set to reach speeds of 224bhp and 284 lb ft torque, with the possibility of reaching 78mph in its battery-only mode.We\u2019ll cover more of the Hybrid SE when it arrives of course, but for now the new countryman is set to go on sale in February next year, with prices ranging from the style that you buy.
