In his role as Pininfarina’s lead development driver tasked with tuning the Battista’s dynamic performance, Heidfeld will appear alongside the hypercar at the members-only Goodwood meeting – one of the most exclusive events on the motorsport calendar – on April 5th.Heidfeld holds the record for the fastest ever time in the legendary Goodwood hillclimb. In 1999, the German completed the narrow, snaking 1.16-mile track – which has an elevation increase of 92.7 metres from start to finish – in just 41.6 seconds, at an average speed of 100.385 mph, while behind the wheel of a McLaren MP4\/13 F1 car.Attendees of the Goodwood Members’ Meeting will have the chance to quiz the former Jordan, Williams and Sauber driver on the Battista’s technology and performance, as well as how it felt to set his record-breaking time on Goodwood Hill two decades ago.“It is a privilege to return to Goodwoodfor the UK debut of the Pininfarina Battista,” said Heidfeld. “The Members’ Meeting is full of legendary sports cars that in many cases have become game changers.
