Even though the design is likely to divide opinion, everyone can agree that the acceleration is impressive.According to the manufacturer, the car heralds the start of the company’s expansion into the sportscar market, as it is looking to meet the needs of potential customers.For slightly less adventurous customers, or those with a smaller budget, the more accessible Caterham Seven 160 will be on show, exhibiting the kit car’s potential in all its glory.The entry level sportscar will be available in both kit and fully constructed form and is set to offer drivers pure motoring fun.Containing a 660cc Suzuki-powered engine, the car can deliver 60mph in just 6.5 seconds, while a top speed of 100mph can be achieved with the pedal to the metal.Caterham has said the car delivers handling finesse and bags of charm and will “redefine” the budget car segment.Chief executive of Caterham Graham Macdonald said: \u201cThe 160 offers something truly different to the entry-level market. It\u2019s more economical, more accessible and every bit as fun on the road as other Sevens but has its own unique personality.\u201dHeadlining the event though, is surely the brand’s F1 car the CT03.
