For those who prefer the thrill of travelling on two wheels rather than four, there are many motorbikes out there to choose from, each claiming to be the biggest, best, fastest, most comfortable, most fun to ride and most worthy of your hard-earned cash.
The following is a round up of our favourite motorcycles from three of the biggest names in the business – Harley-Davidson, Kawasaki and Honda.
Harley-Davidson Sportster Iron 883
First up is this beast of a Harley, with its retro styling that can be tweaked to your liking thanks to the company offering such a vast array of parts and accessories.
Ever since the Iron was revealed back in 2008 this bike has been a popular choice for riders and the modern updates in recent years, including new suspension, have made it an even more comfortable, confident cruiser.
It is traditional, has just 30 degrees of rake and feels secure in corners.
Not only does it look good but, due to the dual shorty exhausts, it sounds fantastic too!
Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R
This Kawasaki superbike has been a favourite since it launched as a 2004 model where its agility, power and weight, or rather lack of, saw it race past its competitors to become sharper and more aggressive than its rivals.
Since its release, this sportbike has gone on to have a few big overhauls that proved to make it even more attractive and fun to drive than ever before.
The Ninja ZX-10R offers a stable, controlled ride, is powered by a 998cc liquid-cooled engine and the feel through the chassis cannot be matched.
Honda CBR1100XX Super Blackbird
Last but not least, we have this blindingly quick sports tourer by Honda that once held the title of fastest production motorcycle.
It seems there really is nothing this bike can’t do, so if you want crazy speed, supreme comfort, excellent handling, outstanding build quality and reliability then this is the bike for you!
As well as being a joy to ride just about anywhere, owners can relax in the knowledge that their investment will hold its value.
Blackbirds have been around for over 20 years and you still see plenty of them on the road even today, proof that these motorcycles are still as popular as ever.
