At this time of year the NEC becomes packed with petrol-heads, but not of the four-wheel kind. These petrol-heads would rather two-wheels and leathers! That’s right, Motorcycle Live has once again reared its head, showing just how quick this year has gone.
Luckily we had Darren Skidmore on hand to capture the nine day show, but only for one of the days. I think nine days of walking around would have rendered him out of action for a few weeks! But with 30 different manufacturers present it’s hard to try and capture everything in a single day.
50 new models have been released from all the different manufacturers such as, the Ducati 959 with an all new 955cc engine and new styled fairings.
Triumph also had a range of new releases on display, six new versions in fact.
Adding to the show was a rather interesting selection of historical motorcycles, which would bring back memories to the more veteran bikers among us.
Kawasaki also had a very busy stand, but not on their road-going motorcycles, the Off-Road series was pulling in an audience of all ages. I guess there’s something about motor-cross that everyone loves!
It wasn’t just manufacturers that were lucky to share the lime light and have the opportunity to show off their hard work, there was a show section for custom bikes, built by the public and let me just say, the quality was immense! The time, effort and money that have been poured into these machines is astounding, a round of applause to the owners for all of their hard work.
