From the big names..To the lesser well known but equally impressive standsSome provided other eye candy in addition to the motorcyclesAs well as the fantastic bikes on display there was also plenty of entertainment taking place including the famous ‘Question of Bikes’ quiz attended by various celebrities from the motorcycle scene and hosted by the legendary Steve ParrishThere was also a specially commissioned movie premier called ‘Behind Bars’ which featured 20-time Isle of Man TT winner John McGuinness, 2013 World Superbike Champion Tom Sykes, 2013 World Supersport Champion Sam Lowes, 2013 British Superbike Champion Alex Lowes, 2013 Speedway World Champion Tai Woffinden, Moto2 star Scott Redding, World Motocross rider Tommy Searle and three-time British Superbike Champion Shane \u2018Shakey\u2019 Bryne. \u00a0The movie visited these motorcycle legends at home as well as following them out on the road to follow the ups and downs and thrills and spills of this fast action sportTo add even more excitement (as if there wasn’t enough already!) 20 year old Kona Hellier smashed the previous BMX high jump world record on the Crank’d stage with an amazing 6.68m jumpBut Motorcycle Live 2013 still had one more surprise up its sleeve on the penultimate day of the show.A visit by\u00a0His Royal Highness Prince William Duke of Cambridge (who is a keen motorcyclist) was welcomed as he showed great interest in seeing \u00a0a detailed view into the motorcycle industry and to see what new models were available.Prince William was given a tour of some of the manufactures stands and was more than happy to have a sit on some of the bikes on display as well as seeing a display of off road riding.His visit ended with the presentation of a wooden balance bike, complete with special graphics, intended for Prince George of Cambridge \u2013 the Duke\u2019s four-month-old son(Above image courtesy of Motorcycle Live)As you can see from the images, the show was a fantastic success and will be well worth a visit this time next year."},{"@context":"https:\/\/schema.org\/","@type":"BreadcrumbList","itemListElement":[{"@type":"ListItem","position":1,"name":"Latest News","item":"https:\/\/smart-motoring.com\/latest-news\/#breadcrumbitem"},{"@type":"ListItem","position":2,"name":"Motorcycles","item":"https:\/\/smart-motoring.com\/latest-news\/\/motorcycles\/#breadcrumbitem"},{"@type":"ListItem","position":3,"name":"MOTORCYCLE LIVE 2013","item":"https:\/\/smart-motoring.com\/latest-news\/motorcycles\/motorcycle-live-2013\/#breadcrumbitem"}]}]
