Racing Steps Foundation (RSF) has seen two of its riders awarded wildcard entry into next month's MotoGP British Grand Prix.
John McPhee, 17, and 16-year-old Fraser Rogers were each awarded places in the international motorsport event, which will take place at Silverstone on June 15th to 17th.
RSF motorcycle racing co-ordinator Peter Ball commented: "It shows we made the right rider and team choices after we widened the foundation's remit to include motorcycle racing and that the rider development programme we put in place is producing the intended results."
He added that the aim of the organisation is to provide a clearly defined pathway for entry into the upper echelons of motorsport for the best British racing talent and this latest award highlights the positive results that are already being achieved.
In addition to the spectacle of the aforementioned MotoGP British Grand Prix, the race weekend will feature a host of entertainment for visitors, including stunt show displays from legendary stunt riders Craig Jones and Dougie Lampkin, as well as back-flipping motorcycle action from Broke FMX.
The event will also see an aerial display on the Friday from the Royal Artillery Parachute Team and airborne feats of bravery and skill will be carried out the Red Bull Matadors on the Saturday and Sunday.
All in all, it is set to be a jam-packed weekend of thrills and excitement for MotoGP and motorcycle fans in general.
Earlier this month, Honda announced its support for the Royal Air Force (RAF) Reserves Racing project in 2012 by providing a number of Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade models for the team's participation in the upcoming British Superstock 1000 Championship.
"Even though all technical aspects of the project are handled by ourselves day to day, it is great to know that we are starting with the most competitive machinery out there," commented Lee Hardy, RAF Reserves racing team manager.
